Seven Day Film Festival

I will be Excutive Producer of a short film for the Seven Day Film Festival. It’s a competition where filmmakers have 7 Days to write, cast, shoot, and edit a 7-15 minute short film for a $1000 grand prize. After which, all films made during the competition will be screened at the Ninth Street Independent Film Center the weekend of July 31st and August 1st.

Generations Filmmaker Workshop

Beginning February 27. I will be part of Frameline’s Generations Filmmaker Workshop. Working with other Bay Area LGBTQ Youth and Elders to write, script, cast, storyboard, shoot, and edit a collaborative short film that will screen at the 34th Frameline Film Festival June 17-27, 2010.

MY RANT FOR THE DAY: What’s In A Name?

I apologize in advance for my shallowness, but here it goes. I really like this boy I’ve been running into lately. He’s funny, laid back, and cute as hell. But I don’t think I could date him because I don’t like his name. Is that wrong? I said I was gonna be shallow! Because really, his name is such a trivial complaint. It’s just a word - a word that I don’t happen to like, and don’t like for him. I just think he could do so much better.
Aesthetically, the name just doesn’t suit him. He’s 6 foot something crazy, dark features, perfect teeth, and he’s actually coo’. He’s interesting, fun, and funny; someone that I could totally get into, but then he had to go and mess it up with having that lame ass name.
